How do I book an appointment?Appointments can be made online via the 'Book Online' button on our website. This will take you to a secure and confidential client portal where you can easily register, then have the convenience of booking and managing your own appointments online.

How do I change my appointment?Appointments can be changed up to 48hours before your original booking. [This allows us opportunity to book in another client into this time slot]. To change your appointment, log into your Client Portal (used to book your appointment) by clicking on the 'Book Online' button anywhere on our website, and follow the prompts to change your appointment time and/or day.

How do I pay for my appointment?Payment is processed at the time of booking via your Client Portal, with all major credit and debit cards accepted. Please refer to 'How do I cancel an appointment?' for details on our cancellation and refund policy. (If you are experiencing financial difficulties, please contact us directly to discuss how we can best support you.)

How do I cancel an appointment?Cancellations can be made up to 48 hours before your appointment time. To cancel, log into your Client Portal via our 'Book Online' button (used to book your appointment), and follow the prompts to cancel or change your appointment. Cancellation & Refund Policy- Cancellations made with 48 hours or more notice: full refund given. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours notice: 50% refund given. Running Late or No Show Policy If you are late to a scheduled online appointment, your appointment end time may still remain the same. This is to ensure that we meet the obligations of other clients who may be booked in straight after your appointment. Unfortunately, no refunds are given if you do not show up for a scheduled appointment. (To ensure your telehealth video call appointment runs smoothly and on-time, please check that your device meets the requirements for the video call prior to your scheduled appointment. Things to check in advance include- ensuring that you are using the latest version of your web browser, have connected or allowed access to your microphone and camera, and have good internet connection & speed. A device with a camera and microphone are required. Most computers, laptops, phones, tablets or notebooks are suitable.)

Who might benefit from seeing a Psychotherapist?Counselling and therapy sessions with a Psychotherapist aims to help and support those with mental health issues or facing life challenges, to find deeper understanding, develop healthy coping strategies, and build their own resilience, as a way to improve their mental well-being and help them reach their full potential in life. Psychotherapy might be helpful for those experiencing a range of symptoms such as feeling disconnected, low self-esteem, feeling constantly overwhelmed or worried, separation anxiety, thoughts of self-harm, experiencing a breakdown in relationship, postnatal depression, or difficulty caring for a loved one. Do I need a referral?You don't need a referral to access our services.

How often do I need to attend?Each client’s needs and issues are different, and so the number and frequency of sessions may vary. Depending on the issue, some clients may only require a couple of sessions, with more complex issues requiring a few months, or even years to treat. Typically, clients will attend weekly or fortnightly, then gradually reduce to monthly sessions when they are ready. Christina will always work with her clients individually to tailor their treatment specifically to their needs.

Is my therapy session confidential?Anything discussed in your session is completely confidential and we won't release any information to anyone without your permission. However, a therapist is bound by law to release information, without your permission, in circumstances whereby they feel their client is at risk of harm, or harm to others, and/or related to court subpoenas.

How do I pay an invoice?Occasionally, an invoice may be issued. Invoices can be paid by logging into your Client Portal via our 'Book Online' button (used to book your appointment), and clicking on the 'My Invoices' option and following the prompts. Alternatively, if you have been emailed an invoice you can pay by using the BSB and Account Number located at the bottom of the invoice.

Are your therapy sessions covered by Medicare?Counselling and Psychotherapy are unfortunately not yet covered by Medicare.

How do I attend my online appointment?Appointments are conducted online via a secure Telehealth video call. After booking your appointment online, you will receive a confirmation email which will contain a unique link that will be used to access your video call. More details of how to join your Telehealth video call will be provided in the email. To ensure your online appointment runs smoothly and on time, please ensure in advance that you are using the latest version of your web browser, have connected or allowed access to your microphone and camera, and have good internet connection & speed. A device with a camera and microphone are required. Most computers, laptops, phones, tablets or notebooks are suitable.
